Alumnus Zhong Feng Wang now at Broadcom Corporation, has been elevated to IEEE Fellow for contributions to VLSI design and implementation of forward error correction coding. He earned his doctoral degree in 2000, under the guidance of Prof. Keshab Parhi.

Prof. Stergios Roumeliotis has been elevated to IEEE Fellow for contributions to visual-inertial navigation and cooperative localization. He is a member of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering faculty, and an affiliate faculty with ECE.

Prof. Massoud Amin has been elevated to IEEE Fellow for leadership in smart grids and security of critical infrastructures.

Alumnus Jiang Hu, now professor at Texas A&M University, has been elevated to IEEE Fellow for contributions to gate, interconnect, and clock network optimization in VLSI circuits. He earned his doctoral degree in 2001, under Prof. Sachin Sapatnekar.
