An ECE almunus and an ECE graduate student bag 2 Best in Session awards at the 2016 TECHCON.
Sandhya Koteshwara, Ph.D. Candidate in Electrical Engineering, was awarded the Best in Session Award (Hardware Security) for her presentation “Comparative Study of Authenticated Encryption Schemes Based on Candidates from CAESAR and Targeting Lightweight Applications.” Sandhya conducted the research while at Intel for her internship. She is completing her doctoral work under the guidance of Prof. Keshab Parhi.
ECE Ph.D. alumnus Mustafijur Rahman also received the Best in Session Award in Analog Circuit Design for “A sub-1V 2.8dB NF 475µW Coupled LNA for Internet of Things Employing Passive Mutual Noise & Non-linearity Cancellation.” The paper was authored by Mustafijur and his advisor Prof. Ramesh Harjani.
TECHCON is a research showcase conducted by Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC) and the 2016 conference was held on September 11-13 at Austin, Texas.
