How to create and place your final layout files

• Place your CIF file in your home directory.
• Name of your CIF file should be "yourlastname_yourpartnerslastname.cif". Make sure the name is unique. Shorten if necessary.
• Run ~harjani/bin/chksum "yourfile.cif" This will give you a checksum and a byte count. Hang on to both these numbers. The order is important
• cd (this will get you back to your home directory)
• chmod uga+r "yourfile.cif" (this gives me and everybody read access to your file)
• cd .. ( this moves you one level up)
• chmod uga+rx "your_directory" (this gives me and everybody read access to your file)
• email me at harjani@ece.umn.edu the following information
  • You and your partners full name and email. Email must be valid for next quarter as well. I need to be able to send you email when the chips come back.
  • A phone number I can contact you at over the weekend
  • Title for your project (3 word limit)
  • Project description (2 line limit)
  • Byte count and checksum numbers
