Induction machine: Steady-state characteristics

This animation provides a visual process for examining (on the fly) the effects of changing the values of the parameters of an induction machine on the torque- and current- speed characteristics. These parameters expressed in per unit (V_s ω_s R_s R_r L_sl L_rl L_m ) may be adjusted separately or in combination by accessing the pertinent sliders. The slider ω_s effectively represents the voltage-to-frequency ratio tool needed to model variable-voltage, variable-frequency operation.
